Study abroad experiences

Lex Capistany during his study abroad program in Scandanavia

Lex Capestany (CivE, EPP'26) studied abroad in Scandanavia through DIS abroad, taking courses in Copenhagen, Denmark; Stockholm, Sweden; and Berlin, Germany on urban living, design, and public policy.

The interdiscplinary nature of his courses were further emphasized by the fact that he got to see the different ways European engineers applied and thought about the same foundational principles he learned at CMU. “I think it's very inspiring to see how, with a very strong foundational education, people can branch off into a wide variety of professional fields.”
